Having arrived at the conclusion that theSCV6 Tomato sound card is totally unsuitable for use in my Toshiba T3200SX ..which I would like to use with DOS6.2 only.
I've aquired a Vibra Creative SB16 CT2800 16 bit ISA card.
I have no idea if it is even working ...
A friend donated it untested.
Sadly he didn't have any floppies ..so I am driverless and clueless as to what I need and how to go about getting it installed.
I guess I need a setup floppy ...drivers and diagnostics/tests and samples.
Could some kind soul ..help me with this ..?
As I said ..it isn't even clear as to functionality ..so first order of business is to get it installed and tested.
The software ideally must be floppy based ..as this is the only IO on the T3200SX

Lots to choose from:
http://vogonsdrivers.com/index.php?catid=7&menustate=42,35

Given that it's a Vibra, you could try Sound Blaster Vibra16 Drivers, or otherwise Various Sound Blaster ISA Floppy Disks and Drivers.

Or just download & mount this monster on another PC and copy the relevant files to floppy for transfer:

Out of interest: both boards have basically the same SB Vibra chip - what makes the CT2800 suitable if SCV6 Tomato so unsuitable?

The Tomato is unsuitable simply because it is designed to work with a specific motherboard ..so requires a ribbon to link to that mobo ..
..which of course the T3200SX doesn't have ..
I guess you _could_ say ..half the card is missing to all intents and purposes..
(Simplified answer) 🤣
16 bit Tomato board SCV6 Creative Labs VIBRA16X ISA Sound Audio Card - is what exactly ?

Just watching Phils explanation on youtube
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xaf4lWI2TEk
Which I'm hoping will shed some light ..and only requires 2 floppy sized zipped files from creative..
fingers crossed..
First job though ..
a new clean install of DOS 6.22 ..to remove all the crap I already tried.

This T3200SX does a fair job as a DOS games lappy ...but with external monitor of course ..it not having a Plasma screen.

I think the vintage DOS games you get from GoG can be installed on a regular DOS PC.

Also there's a site I used to visit regularly called "Abandonia".
