I cannot identify this card, it doesn't even look like a typical computer card, because it has very few pads on edge connector. It uses only 1 data, 10 address, AEN, clock and /IOW signals, it also supposed to have 2 DB9 connectors. ICs on card tell very little about its possible functions, it got 4x NEC 41264C dual ports graphics buffers (according to datasheet) a Toshiba TC17G series CMOS gate array chip (FPGA equivalent) and 32KB UV EPROM, which contains no ASCII simbols, just some random HEX values:

"DB DB 9B 9B 9B 9B 9B 9B 9B 9B 9B 9B 9B DB DB DB DB DB DB DB DB DB DB DB DB DB DB DB DB DB DB DB DB DB DB DB DB DB DB DB DB DB DB DB DB DB DB DB DB DB DB DB DB DB DB CA EA DA 9A 9A 9B FF FF FF DB DB 9B 9B 9B 9B 9B 9B 9B 9B 9B 9B 9B DB DB DB DB DB DB DB DB DB DB DB DB DB DB DB DB DB DB DB DB DB DB DB DB DB DB DB DB DB DB DB DB DB DB DB DB DB DB DB DB DB FB DA FA DA 9A 9A 9B FF FF FF"

Googled texts on card, but found nothing. What could it possibly be?

My best guess is it's some sort of industrial process controller. The NEC chips are essentially 64k x 4bit RAM arrays with both random and serial access and may be used to store process information or acquired data transmitted serially to/from an external device. Other than that I have no idea.

I/O, I/O,
It's off to disk I go,
With a bit and a byte
And a read and a write,
I/O, I/O

Yes, it must be of industrial descent and it's definitely serial with only one data pin used on ISA bus. It probably uses RS422 or 485 protocols.

Forgot to add keywords: Gearbox DD 8602.5/1A, DatorDesign, Data Design, Dator Design, DD C701 TC17G022AT.

If anyone outside Vogons knows what this card does or where it comes from, please reply 😀

It looks like somebody cut off what I am guessing were DB9 connectors since it looks like both places on the edge of the board have the legs coming through the back of the board.

NM... I didn't see the first part of the post the first time.. 😵
