So far, I found that VDMSound is the best utility to run Blood with. The graphics are top notch (I was able to run Blood at 800x600 with nothing else than VDMSound for Win98 and Blood...), the music is also great and I experienced no crashes. *BUT*, I can't run the game with SFX. Help?

ps to vlad: are you Russian or Romanian?

Vlad is Canadian, foo. 😉
What exactly happens when you try to run with sound effects?

Yes, it’s my fault.

My screen goes back to the desktop as soon as the game starts and a little icon appears at the bottom right corner of the screen (near the time) which indicates that MIDI music is being played. I switch back to Blood and everything is OK save the audio. I can't hear it all. I predicted this would happen when I first tested the audio effects using setup.exe. I used the following settings: port address = 220, irq = 7, 8-bit dma = 1, 16-bit dma = 5. Obviously I didn't hear any sound during that test.

ps. I thought Vlad was Romanian... you know, like Vlad Tepes, but friendlier.

Told you he's romanian, or at least speaks and writes the language...

Him and Nadia Comaneci are our national treasures. LMAO 🤣
