The Microsoft Sound System is the greatest sound card in the world. 48,000 hertzes of full duplex audio and true OPL3 you can't possibly go wrong with this!!! also it sounds better than the Sound Blaster 16 (and by that i mean the true ones that are seen as a PC sound authority figure).

This is kind of a silly question really. You need to make it more "answerable" before asking. There are millions of sound cards for millions of different purposes and preferences. What kind of a system you want to buld? Which games you want to play?, what is your personal preferences?, what kind of a budget you have?, etc, etc...

This just sounds like "which computer I need?". The best posssible answer you would get for that kind of questions is "42" (and you already got it 🤣)

Questions:

1) Which system (processor, RAM, motherboard, add-in cards)?
2) For DOS, Windows, or both?
3) Any external MIDI modules you want to use (Roland MT-32, SC-55, etc.)?
