Hi,
I have a hard time to find the working driver for ATI HD4670 AGP video card to work with XP 32 bit.

Had tried many different drivers and all of them can be installed without an issue, but none of them can be picked up by the card or manually assigned from device manager...

Please help! 😒

Try the lastest AGP hotfix (13.4, I think) directly from AMD, I've used it recently with an HD3870 and worked flawlessly.

Try this : LINK
Together with Device Manager and manually picking up driver and GPU model from a file inside driver folder (Location : C:/.../Driver/XP_INF/CX05052.inf).

Thanks for your reply.

I found "AMD Catalyst 12.1 Hotfix for Windows® XP Professional and Home Edition" here can pick up the card and works fine. 😀

Hi, I have the same issue with my HD4670 APG and WinXP 32bit. But unfortunately I am not able to find "AMD Catalyst 12.1 Hotfix for Windows® XP Professional and Home Edition" in the internet. Seems that AMD has deleted the File. I found 100 Pages with link to AMD, but AMD every time tells that the file does not exist. Even the Wayback Machine is not finding the file or the page.
Does anyone have the "AMD Catalyst 12.1 Hotfix for Windows® XP Professional and Home Edition"?

For HD4000 you don't want to go beyond Catalyst 11.12.
For HD3000 it's Catalyst 10.x or even 7.11, because that's the last driver with old OpenGL.

I must be some kind of standard: the anonymous gangbanger of the 21st century.

Thanks a lot for yor welcome and the link to Phils computer Lab! It is running!!
After a short "ups", because the Screen was black for at least 30 seconds with no Video Input. Basicly the performance does not matter, I use the Card in my "Disc-Computer" where I have the KV2-Lite Mainboard (ECS K8T800-A) with an AMD64 X2-4200+ that has only AGP, but supports two Floppies 360k and 1.2MB - a third 1.44MB is connected via USB with SCSI, SATA and SAS Cards with WinXP and Win7 in parallel.

I needed a Card with Dual-Link DVI Connection (the Monitor needs Dual Link for the 2.5k Resolution), driver for WinXP and Win7, and only one Slot because I have - a 50pin SCSI Card for very old drives - it is functional with my 20MB SCSI drives, a 68pin SCSI Card for modern SCSI drives - even 80pin 146GB drives are working with an adapter, but not a very old one, a SATA Controller for SATA II drives - the onboard SATA Controller has the issue that SATAII drives will not work, a 1Gbit LAN Card and a SAS Card (with PCI to PCIe). So all Slots are occupied.

I had a GF7600LE in before, but this Card had a 1.5 Slot design and I hat to swap a PCI card when needed. Win7 is only needed with drives above 2TB and for the SAS card.

Ok, now I have the same Problem with Win7. Even the

- I installed the latest Chipset driver https://www.philscomputerlab.com/uploads/3/7/ … onpro_v524a.zip
- I installed the 12-3_agp-hotfix_vista_win7_64_dd_ccc driver.

The Card is now regognized, but not working:

The attachment ATI Win7 Problem.jpg is no longer available

It is like her described:

https://learn.microsoft.com/en-au/answers/questions/2439266/radeon-hd-4670-agp-card-problems

I had done the same steps, but unfortunately I still get the Error "Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)"

In this thread: https://www.sevenforums.com/graphic-cards/320 … tml#post2682250 it ist stated that only "10-2_agp-hotfix_vista_win7_64_dd_ccc.exe" is working, but it did not...

any Idea?
