Hi. What exact difference is between Turtle Beach TBS-2000 a Tropez32 cards with ICS WaveFront wt?
(not to be confused with TBS-2001 which is Tropez Plus with 4MB ROM and SIMMs)

I read both are amost same. Driver is same. PnP EEPROM (firmware) update is for both cards-

TBS-2000 with 2MB ROM was retail product with box?

Tropez32 with 1MB ROM was sold only as part of the TBS-6700 and TBS-8900 CD-ROM kits?

Is TBS-2000 2MB wavetable ROM same as chip from older TB Tropez Classic, TB Maui, TB RIO daughter board? And Aztech WaveRider 32 and Aztech WaveTide db?
Please can anyone upload photos of both cards? One which is confirmed to be TBS-2000 and second to be Tropez 32?

Have you looked at this page?
https://retrosoundcards.wordpress.com/categor … o-tbs-2000-56k/

From the original page, it doesn't look like Voyetra distinguished the models with 2BM or 1MB ROMs. They call them both a TBS-2000.

From the sounds of it and also looking at the pages for the CD-ROM/soundcard kits, it sounds like the 1MB version came in the kits as well as just an OEM card, while the retail boxed version with card only was the 2MB version.

Thanks, i checked links some time ago.
First card is listed as TBS-2000/Tropez 32 😀

Best retail value... available in 2 MB ROM set
Best OEM value... available in 1 MB ROM set

Thanks for links because i found CD-ROM sets:

Card is listed without name as 32 Voice Wavetable Sound Card
Hardware Wavetable Synthesis with 1MB ROM

TBS-8900 8X Multimedia Upgrade Kit

This superfast 8X IDE CD-ROM Drive with an access time of 149ms is 50% faster than a 4X CD-ROM Drive. You will experience smoother animation, better video and sound effects. With the Turtle Beach Tropez32 Wavetable sound card, based on the Award-Winning Tropez Wavetable technology, it will play back actual instrument sounds from it's 1MB ROM (superior to the synthetic sounds of an FM-only card).

Tropez32 Wavetable Sound Card
IDE/ATAPI Interface for CD-ROM
Hardware Wavetable Synthesis with 1 Megabyte sample ROM
Up to 48kHz sample rate
SoundBlaster, Windows 95, and Plug-n-Play compatible
Includes free audio software

Tropez32 is official name for 1MB version of the TBS-2000

Both retail and oem/CD-ROM kit cards are pictured gold colored. Maybe prototypes were gold but i found only green Turtle Beach cards.

Owners of retail TBS-2000 or TBS-6700 and TBS-8900 can help.
