I´m trying to have sound in game through directsound in hardware mode with no avail. Tried a Live 5.1 Digital and a Live! Value with same results. Directsound only works through software mode, selected in dxdiag.
The board is a DFI P2XBL with an PIII 550Mhz . Tried some diferent drivers. Sound cards work well on other systems. Any sugestions?

What version of Windows, DirectX and driver are you using?

Screw period correct; I wanted a faster system back then. I choose no dropped frames, super fast loading, fully compatible and quiet operation.
