Hi guys
OK this is the next item on my purchase list - A PC Diagnostic card

I've done some reading around and watched a few videos and I found this one

https://www.pctestcards.com/product/PC_Mother … 0180402/43.html

Which seems to cover most situations. It's not the cheapest by any means, I've seen cheap diagnostic cards on ebay for less than £5. But this one gives 2 digit + 4 digit error codes, has adpaters for PCI. PCIe, and LPC, small diagnostic test card for laptops. It also supports UEFI BIOS and the guy claims to give free lifetime tech support and help. Oh and it does have free international shipping which is good for me.

It does not test POST from ISA slots but to be honest I've only come across two motherboards so far that didn't have PCI slots, and they both booted. I guess I could also get an ISA POST card if I ever need one.

Mostly I have a problem diagnosing motherboards that don't POST and don't beep and that is where i was hoping a diagnostic card would help me.

So before i part with my cash I would like some advice. Any recommendations for other POST test cards would be appreciated, plus opinions on how useful they would be when faced with a motherboard that does not POST or Beep.

Rich.

Maybe find an old stock model, I bought one of the cheap ones recently and plugged it into a socket 7 board and immediately a resistor on the card exploded. A card isn't likely to be helpful if the power on self test hasn't started
