Hey all,

So I'm running a vintage rig with a Yamaha OPL3-SA3 sound card in it. Up until now, I've been playing games where the only option was Sound Blaster, but I'm playing Privateer soon and it has the choice of Sound Blaster, Sound Blaster 16, and Sound Blaster Pro. All three appear to work. What I'm wondering is what the best sounding should be for this card?

The card has up to SB pro 2.0 compatibility which is the optimal setting. WSS is the ideal thing but DOS games rarely support it.

Thanks much for the heads up! So when given the choice between Sound Blaster, Sound Blaster 16, and Sound Blaster Pro, my understanding of this is that I should select Pro (even if it doesn't have the 2.0 designation) as it's the most advanced format the card supports. [And nope - WSS isn't an option.] Thanks for the help! Been a while since I've dived into this stuff.
