I'm trying to play games like Sopwith, Space Commanders and other old DOS games in amber monochrome mode. Similar to Hercules mode. But for many old DOS games Hercules mode doesn't seem to work because the game doesn't have built in support. Is there a way to get around this?

SIMCGA seems to be working even under dosbox when machine type is set to Hercules. I don't know how well, but at least sopwith runs
