I'm new to DOSbox and missed a lot of classic games as a kid. I'm glad this exists. But I can't get the emulated CPU speed to adjust so I can play games easily. I tried CTL+f12, but that's already mapped to adjust the brightness of my monitor and isn't working within DOSbox. Is there a back way in the config or something that I can use to get the game running smoothly?

I there is a FN key on your keyboard then try that. Sounds like you have that functionality turned on by default.

You can just type "cycles XXXX" at the dos prompt to set the emulated cycles to XXXX, or open the mapper using ctrl-f1 and remap the dec cycles/inc cycles functions.
