hi, i have a jetway 625emp800, that has a via c3 samuel2 800mhz processor soldered in
the problem is overheating, the motherboard works okay but at times it would freeze, i've tried changing the thermal grease to no avail (a white, cheap one)
what else to consider?

Is the fan on the heatsink working properly ? If possible set fan to highest speed in BIOS and do not let Windows control it thru APM.

Hate posting a reply and then have to edit it because it made no sense 😁 First computer was an IBM 3270 workstation with CGA monitor. Stuff: https://archive.org/details/@horun

i think the fan is always running at max speed
is a standard fan that sits on top of the heatsink, if i connect it to the cha_fan connector it spins the same speed
anyway in bios there are no options for adjusting the fan speed
