So I'm into an old gaming laptop theme and some time ago I purchased Creative Audigy2 ZS Notebook which is awesome and I had good EAX in Thief II, DOOM 3, and so on.

But now I've switched from PCMCIA laptops to ExpressCard one (Fujitsu Siemens Amilo Xi 1546, or my final step for an ultimate old gaming machine) but my goal is the same. I found two Creative cards, but I honestly don't catch the difference here. I'm interested in hardware EAX support. As a higher version as possible. My PCMCIA card supported EAX 4.0 on the hardware level. I'm going to use it in Windows XP, so no need for Alchemy.

As I understand, the second thing is about the wireless audio transfer, so I can stick to the first one?

So I bought Creative X-Fi Xtreme Audio Notebook for 14$. Tried Thief II, Thief DS and DOOM 3, all of them work fine. Case solved.
