Cleaning out my old storage when i managed to find an old box of a few motherboards that got blown as junior hobbies. Alot of these boards have a single or a few tantalums that exploded from the power cables being inserted correctly.
Any chances they could be saved? I was thinking of sending a few off to Badcaps to get recapped in hopes that would revive them but im not sure if wrongly inserted PSU cables would kill them deeper beyond a capacitor level.
Iv salvaged ram, cpus and cache from these boards prior and they all worked out fine.
Thanks!
