I have an old Roland MT-32 and when I hook up speakers it produces loud static (the device hasn’t been hooked up to midi- this is just the output with the power on. This is not normal- any idea what’s messed up? It does this regardless of the volume setting. I am planning to recap the board- any ideas what might be the problem? The board looks pristine and there is no place to put a battery. Any ideas? It used to work but has been in a box in storage that I just dug out to work with some new MIDI equipment. Hoping to resurrect this thing. Thanks!
