I have a dual P4 system that is currently using a 7600GS and the GPU is a huge bottleneck on games around 2006-2008. Can anyone suggest an upgrade for this card?

This is a project PC and I have several PCI-E cards and systems that will play these games much better but it's more to see how far I can push a PC from 2001!

I've found an ATi 4650 which seems to be the best bet before you get to £lol money for 7950GTs etc, however I recall viscous rumours of drivers being an issue for these cards. I would be using Windows XP and 7.

Any other suggestions?

I have a vacancy for a main Windows 98 PC

Sorry this is not an answer to your question but I never heard of dual Pentium 4 boards. What model is that?

Sorry it's a Dual Xeon socket 603 PC. The Xeons are based on the netburst architecture like all the P4s are.

In the UK the X1950 AGP goes pretty cheap on fleabay. Above that you need 7950/4650/4670/3850

DX9 cards are bottleneck for games after 2007. Some top tier beasts like 1950XTX were fine until 2008 though, but they are not available on AGP.
