I'm in the process of refurbishing an Acer Aspire 1800 Series laptop. It's had a thorough air dust (took it completely apart to do it justice), a good clean on the outside, the screen is in amazing condition as it came up perfectly with some screen cleaner and a microfiber cloth 😀

Windows XP has installed OK, all drivers installed and things like Open Office and 7-Zip etc (so it's in some sort of useable condition) have been installed.

The only thing missing is something called "Instant On Aspire Arcade". Interestingly enough there is an Arcade button on the front of the laptop that you can operate with the laptop off and the lid closed, when you press it the laptop powers up and I think you're supposed to be able to play CDs and DVDs from it as there are stop/play/pause buttons and a little square 'joystick' too!

I dont have the original restore discs as I assume it would be on there, I don't think many Acer Laptops came with this software as I cant find it (or any Aspire 1800 Restore Discs) on the Internet Archive or eBay etc.

It's got a large 17" widescreen display and even has a sub-woofer for the sound so this beast of a laptop (with no less than 3 fans whirring away) was clearly designed with Multimedia in mind.

Does anyone know where I could get this software from or how it's installed/setup?
