Hi,

i have a 8800GTS with bended PCB,
any thoughts on bending it back ?
maybe i just put it beetween two books with the cooler removed ?
Whats the best way to bend it back without putting too much stress on the BGAs ?

The Card works but it looks really ugly with the end hanging down about 2cm..
Also the Power Cable Plugs in there which buts additional Stress on the PCB.

The Card has several Holes for mounting a Backplate and a bigger Cooler.
But Sparkle only used a 4 Point mounted one.

i had the idea to 3d print a rail and put it on the pcb edge to stabilize it.

Any Ideas for a good fix ?

Thanks

Matthias

I wouldn't bend it back, as solder joints (points) could break and gift you with a lengthy reflowing session.
I'd leave it as it is and just find a way to stabilize it.
