I have xp running on celery 750
I am trying to run a game called ripper.
i have updated vdmsound and launchpad.
i get error message when I run saying no sound card detected. Am i screwed or is there something I should be doing to work around this.
my sound card is soundblaster 16

You need to right-click on the game and choose "Run with VDMSound" or it won't work.
Yes, it’s my fault.
Have you tried any othe rgames and do they work? Also, perform the following:
- right-click on your Windows folder (e.g. C:\WINNT)
- choose "Find" or "search"
- choose to find files named "*.sys" and that contain the following string:
Ke386
- optionally, repeat the step above, this time looking for the string:
SetTSSLimit
What files are found? (there must be at least one)
