Wow. I’m impressed. What’s your connection to 3Dfx / 3dfx and just how many of their cards do you own? Would love some backstory.

I'm not yjfy but as far as I can remember, yjfy's just a collector - albeit one with a huge, well-organized collection. And anything he doesn't own, he collects JPEG's of. He usually tries to make it clear which he owns and which he does not own, but it's sometimes lost in the wave of information - especially these threads that he has made that are intended to be "historical documentation". I can't blame anybody who might interpret this as "he used to work for 3dfx" but so far as I know, that's not the case.

Actually is quite the compliment, similar to being called a hacker when you are just skilled is also a compliment 😜
The Righteous 3D engineering sample graphics card PCB date collected by dusty-voodoo.com is really 9626 weeks, which is the earliest non-3Dfx original engineering sample.
How rare are the Voodoo5 PCI cards, do you know yjfy?

3.2.3.1 Review sample
This 3D Blaster Voodoo2 was first sold, and part of it was recycled due to a bug in the chip. The chip date is very early 9803/9801 weeks, which is earlier than the chip on the 3Dfx reference board, and the PCB board date is 9808 weeks; this card does not indicate the product version number and product model, and the product serial number is different from other retail cards.
3D Blaster Voodoo2 Review sample3.2.3.2 12MB
The product version number "019804" in the lower left corner of the front of the graphics card indicates the "01" version, and the finalization date is "9804" week. The PCB board date of this 3D Blaster Voodoo2 is 9807 weeks, which is the earliest production date of the official product PCB board, and the chip date is 9803/9804 weeks.

I know this is an old post but wondering if I can get some information.
I have two CT6670 boards I purchased new several months apart.
I'm interested in how you dated these boards. The one you label 3.2.3.1 Review sample is similar to my first card. You said the PCB board date is 9808. Is that the silkscreened numbers on the back? Mine is '08-98 94V-0'
For the other, later card you label 3.2.3.2 12MB, where is the PCB board date of 9807 you say it has? I don't see it on that card and can't find any on my other later card , only the 019804 stamp.

Thanks to Thandor and his great knowledge, I'm now able to decode the dates on these cards.
His website is like touring a Museum.
