I'm not very knowledgable about these things, I admit... But, I suggest you uninstall it and then re-install, and before you run it. REBOOT.

some programs don't feel very well if you run them without rebooting first, even if they don't specifically ask you to.

and, if that doesn't help, what's the program/game you're trying to run it with? perhaps *that's* at the core of the problem?

Logon with Administrator rights
Install V2.1.0
Reboot
Locate a 16bit executable or .bat file, right click. If you don't get the Run with VDMS with a 'tune' graphic by the side it means that the Explorer extension did not register properly.

Try to register it manually:
Start->Run
regsvr32 'VDMSound installation directory'\LaunchPad.dll

Reply back with more information and hopefully a solution will be forthcoming...

hey, thanks for the reply, yea, i did what you guys said, i unistalled 2.1.0 and then reinstalled and rebooted, and when i right click on the .exe /bat , etc files, i still dont see a run with vdms , haha , i have no clue, maybe just my computer is messed up.

hey, i did everything again and it returned this msg when i did it manually

dllregister server in program files/vdmsound\launchpad.dll failed
return code was 0x80040154

no clue what that means

It's trying to install the VDMS launchpad option to the right-click menu for EXE (application) files. You have to follow Reckless' instructions to install the option manually, as it seems to be getting a slash backwards and/or path wrong.
