Greetings!

Got subj and it works, but has no red color in 3dfx demos. The card is in perfect condition overall: clean, no visible bent pins, no missing SMD parts, no scratches on PCB, etc.
Drivers had no problem installing and running . Tried it in two different systems.
Is this repairable ? What else should be checked, tested ?

Any ideas are welcomed!

This is most likely an issue with the DAC or the analog signal path.
Post pictures of the card please.

There is a deep scratch on the PCB (found it when I was taking pictures), near the VGA-input connector. The conductor is ok - traced it from the VGA-input connector to the switch chip. Also, the card passes VGA from the input to the output without loss of colors.

Ok, first try to find out wether the signal path to the switch is ok by checking with a multimeter. If it is there's either a problem with the DAC or one of the signals on the switch is stuck.
A very crude way of telling wether the DAC or the switch (or another component in the signal path) are damaged is to bridge the red signal directly to the VGA out. Connect the Voodoo to one monitor and the 2D card to another. When you launch a game and the Voodoo shows a normal(ish) picture your switch is defective, if red is still missing your DAC is broken.

Good luck!
