A friend just gave me his old computer, these are the specs:
- Board: Asus P5G41T-M
- CPU: Core 2 Duo E8400 3Ghz/1333 FSB
- RAM: 4GB + 2GB (didn't see the exact specs)
- VGA: NVidia GeForce 210 1GB
- SSD: Samsung 850 EVO 120GB
- HDD: Seagate 1TB (he took his, I'll add one of mine)
What is the best Core 2 Quad to replace the current CPU, taking the low price in HUGE consideration? I Googled a bit and found the Xeon E5450 3Ghz/1333 FSB for about $/€15 on aliexpress, seems to be a great replacement, but I'm not sure if the BIOS needs to be modded.
What games will these components be most adequate for? Windows XP/7 games up to around 2010? The board says it's DirectX 10 compatible.
