Hello, I am a new user and i apologize ahead of time if i post this in the wrong area or step on any toes from unfamiliarity.

i own a CDP 1600vp luggable computer that has treated me well for a few years but recently i seemed to have caused a problem out of ignorance, i ran a batch file on a old floppy called fixit.bat on this machine and from my limited
knowledge, seem to have corrupted bios on this machine, the character set seems to be completely wrong now although the computer still functions. the error is evident as soon as the machine is powered on even the display for memory test is garbled, while the machine is still functional it is substituting one character displayed for other non related characters. even pressing one key on the keyboard will show a different letter or symbol on the display

so a "c" may display as "j" or q may display as "&"

the text of the batch file i run is as follows

debug<inp1
debug<inp2 ibmdos.com
debug<inp3

ibmdos.com was also present on the disk, i assume this was a debug fix for some software to run.
again i am extremely ignorant when it comes to programing and have made a right mess of this.
