I noticed this while inspecting a motherboard I purchase from eBay. I've never seen a memory slot tilted like this before and wanted to share. It's tilted as a result of the wave soldering process as it's slightly lifted away from the board around that area where it should be flush.

This is a manufacturing defect and is not a result of abuse by the previous owner. The memory slot works fine but it's annoying to know that it's there.

Sticks without a heatspreader fit fine. There may be an issue when a chunky heatsink is used but I don't have one wide enough to cause a problem.
