Hi all.
Aprox 4 months ago, I started on a new project. I found these new C64 PCB's that one can build a new computer with. They are not emulation based like TheC64, but replica's of fully functioning old school machines. Anyhow....
I began to build this machine after I finished up my SixtyClone-466 machine in all black, and had my ATX64 fully running with games on the 19'th of August. That is why the date is written on a sticker. I had to burn a custom ROM image with all the three Roms in one file. I also modded the ROM in order to have a custom color layout and changed the text to something more personal. Basically, this is a fully custom and personalised machine. I have also used turned-pin sockets for all the chips. I have used a modern S-Ram replacement board and used a TOLB instead of the 7801 clock chip. I have a short video on my youtube channel, were I demonstrate the machine with PacMan. Even the case is slightly modded, as a previous owner painted a part of the case red.
Pic's (or it did not happen)
Next I need to build a Ps/2 keyboard adaptor. But I have to order parts and PCB later this month. I also have to buy a new lownoise PSU in black, just to have the colour matching. Future upgrades? Well... I am thinking about building a HDD adaptor and use one of the 3.5 inch 128GB Seagate drives I have. Or I will buy a 3.5 inch 1581 floppy drive recplica. And I have to find a drive bay cover as well.
When it is finished to my likening, then I will be naming the machine.
Don't eat stuff off a 15 year old never cleaned cpu cooler.
Those cakes make you sick....
