Hi everyone! I've found one ISA card on my collection that hides some special features that I want to test, and it's based on the Yamaha V6363 IC. It's a CGA/MDA/Hercules compatible card, with the following extra supported modes (all the information comes from the original datasheet http://www.vgamuseum.info/index.php/cpu/item/ β¦ 6f14944674763eb):
- 320x200 - 16 colors
- 320x200 - 256 colors
- 320x400 - 4 colors
- 320x400 - 16 colors
- 640x200 - 4 colors
- 640x200 - 16 colors
- 640x400 - 4 colors
- 640x350 - 16 colors
The video card supports output for linear RGB monitors (3 bits per color, 512 available colors) and CGA/EGA monitors. Those modes are way beyond of what a CGA (even EGA) can support, but there is no information available on how to get those extra modes. Any help on this topic would be really appreciated!
The main idea is to add support for this video card on FastDoom π
BTW my English is still a work in progress π
