hey ho me hearties, (wait I'm probably a week or so early for that, but it was random.)

I spied me some booty on ye high seas *twitch* okay, seriously, I'm over it now, well I seent a shiny. Random parts lot, has a couple of could be useful RAM sticks, ATSC tuner, and a quadro card that looks most like the titular specimen, I'll say it again, a Quadro FX 1800. So first off, anything I could be confusing it with? black kinda bowed looking cover silver abaft around edges, fan in mizzen middlish, vents fore and aft. Then nextly, I've got a small pile of 9600GTs forming and it's the same GPU more or less ain't it? One thing I notice though is that it is lower power, 59W, will suck it all off the slot, po-o-o-o-tentially useful, sometime, maybe. So any other little features or niche applications or weird quadro shit that should tempt me?

Thinking I maybe might cram it in my (new to me) mini ITX DG45SC mobo, E8400, Apex MI-100 case system with the back of the 1x slot to be cut out, but already pondering either a 440GT or HD6450 or just living with the onboard for that. Also forgot how much a 1x slot can deliver power wise, so maybe I oughta check that.

Not sure how serious the dude is about the price he put, ppl be putting anything just to make the box go away, and rush to be able to post their ad that allows dozens of pictures for free and hundreds of words that used to cost a quarter each or so in newspaper line ads, with as few words and pics as possible.* But it could account for somewhere between $10 and $20 of the deal, so kinda chickenfeed, but I don't wanna add more parts I don't intend to use to my pile.

*I get kind of annoyed how ppl would try to get as much info as possible in 20 words or so in a newspaper ad they had to pay for, but when they get hundreds for free, they're like "PC Parts"
