Hey all, I've got a 486 machine with a GMB-486UNP V1.2 motherboard with AMI BIOS dated 1992 (not a translating BIOS as far as I can tell).

Ontrack Disk Manger works fine to break the 504 MB limit, but then I can't read the CF card on a modern Windows 10 machine.

EZ-Drive freezes on the "gathering information" screen, so I'm not able to test that method.

So, my questions are:
1. Would using EZ-Drive be any different than Ontrack (assuming I could get it to work)?
2. Are there any other methods for breaking the 504 MB limit while also being able to read the CF card on a modern machine?

Thanks.

An XT-IDE bios chip on an ISA card such as an ethernet card.

I second that .

To answer your question, I doubt any drive overlay software will give different results when the CF card is connected to a modern PC.
