Hello my dear friends from Vogons π
It's been a while since I've been active here, so today I'm giving another contribution to this nice community.
In I have in hands a lovely Compaq LTE 286, unfortunately he is a little mistreated by his long years of existence, he still does not work completely, his battery is dead, his screen has strange stains, the hard drive may not work, the floppy disk drive had its internal pulley disintegrated due to time, but even with all these nasties he displays video when connecting a dimmable source directly to the internal battery connectors.
Throughout this process of analysis and investigation to determine all the possible problems it may have I was taking pictures for later reference, fortunately this proved to be a good idea, because when I got to the board after it was completely disassembled, some capacitors began to come loose from the pcb, similar to what happens in Game Gears, I'm no expert but I believe this occurs due to loss of chemical properties of solder.
Well but enough tangents, let's get to the point, if you have one of these defective and want to bring this bad boy back to life, maybe these resources can be useful to you.
That's it for today π, thanks for visiting the topic.
