My computer with the aforementioned motherboard currently has a Pentium II 450, but I have a Pentium III 800 that I would like to upgrade to, which requires a BIOS update. However, I don't have a floppy drive (as for how I installed Windows 98SE on here, I used an bootable OEM CD). Is it possible to do so without one or am I just gonna have to buy and install a floppy drive?

If you can get the BIOS file and Flash tool on the HD you can flash the BIOS but needs to be done from a DOS HD boot, (it is the preferred method as floppies can occasionally cause a bad flash).
Start Windows with F8 and choose Command Prompt from menu (or use Shift+F5 <should force DOS boot>).

Hate posting a reply and then have to edit it because it made no sense 😁 First computer was an IBM 3270 workstation with CGA monitor. Stuff: https://archive.org/details/@horun

Also for reference, if you can boot from CD you can burn a bootable DOS CD with the flasher and BIOS on to do it.
