Hi, I currently have my K6-2 machine with a savage 3d agp, it runs unreal tournament fine but I have noticed that it has some bugs and problems with other games like the quake series (probably a driver/chipset issue).
So, I'm thinking of replacing the savage 3d with a tnt2 that i have lying around.
The card in question is a Compaq TNT2 Pro 16MB AGP, the driver (in other machine) identifies it as a TNT2 M64 Pro.
My question is, what is the best driver for the processor I have, I've tested 45.23 and it runs fine, but don't know if it can run better or not.
Specs of the rest of the build:
CPU K6-2 550
Mobo Soyo SY-5EH5 V1.3 with latest bios (512KB L2) (AGP 2x disabled) (w/ATX PSU)
RAM 128MB SDRAM 133MHz (not tuned in bios)
Sound C-Media 8738LX
HDD Samsung Spinpoint 40GB
NIC Realtek RTL8139C
Windows 98SE Standard with only the necesary updates for the games i'm going to play.

Best video card drivers I've used with a TNT2 on Win95/98 were Detonator 3.68 together with DirectX 7. Just remember that an M64 is the crippled version of a real TNT2, so barely faster than a plain TNT.

[Install Win95 like you were born in 1985!] on systems like this or this.

thanks, finally got replaced with a savage4, it doesn't perform as fast as the tnt2 but with metal in ut crushes the tnt2
in d3d the performance is close enough, in opengl is good enough
