Hello,

First of all apology if this question was already answered. I did a search but did not manage to find an answer.
I am running a dos application under vdmsound 2.0.4 (Win 2000 Pro). This application will go full screen, I can minimize it but then it will froze (even if I bring it to full screen after).
Is there a way to start directly that application in a Window (i.e. not full screen?)

Any hints/tips you could provide is appreaciated.
thanks
Regards
Harry

NTVDM cannot run VESA programs in a Window, it requires Full Screen to access VESA on your videocard.

If you wish to use a program in a Windows that will not work in a Window under 2000/XP then you'll have to use a 3rd pary application, like:

DosBox
Virtual PC
Vmware
Solvbe
etc
etc

The smallest out of those lists would be solvbe, depending on the application it can be kind of intensive tho.

Solvbe: https://sourceforge.net/projects/solvbe/

Also forgot to mention other emulators such as:

Qemu
Bochs

thanks for the pointers.... will look into solvbe, the other emulators are fine but too heavy...
