Hallo, is there a possibility to update the BIOS, to NOT issue NMI Parity Interrupts on faulty RAM (That testet completely okay by memtest86+ 5.01 in combination with 4 non-parity 1M SIMMs on the other bank, but fails directly if the 4*4MB viking FPM SIMM with parity is solely mounted)? If not, I may have to buy one 4MB FPM SIMM with parity (9*512KB bits). Then the question would be, if one can mix 3 Viking 4MB FPM SIMMs with parity with one other 4MB FPM SIMM with parity from another vendor than Viking?

If I put 4 FPM SIMMs without parity additionally on the other Bank, then I get 2 Parity checksum errors on the startup screen, BUT then Windows 95 overcome the parity halt and works flawlessy. Are those parity checksum errors appear for each fault once, or do they appear for each faulty bank once? Can I exactly figure out which SIMM is the culprit? Can I assume, that only one Viking SIMM is faulty? So that I only need to buy one 4MB SIMM? Questions over questions ...
