I've been trying to convert Wohlstand's OPL3 drum banks to IBK for use with Allegro using OPL3 instrument editor, but if the percussion type is generic then the instrument is blanked out so I tried to use bass drum but the instruments are messed up.

Any ideas on how to combat this?

Hello! I am developer of the OPL3 Bank Editor.

Just a little note that IBK format supports only rhythm-mode percussions. I think I just made the exporting of IBK files incorrectly, and I should make it select what to export: melodic part of percussion part. And I guess that instruments are not marked as "rhythm-mode" should be exported as melodic.

Actually, the best way to reach me is just make an issue at my GitHub's project.

I found your post just accidentally, and I would never find it until I logged in to here for some another reason.
