i have 3 games that semi work without dgvoodoo if I use compatability mode for windows 95:
Spongebob Employee of the Month
Spongebob Battle for Bikini Bottom (the old pc one that was a point and click minigame collection)
Scooby doo 2 monsters unleashed

if dgvoodoo is installed at all these games refuse to boot. well sort of. after banging my head for a while if i set the DirectX feature level to "Direct3D 11 MS WARP (software)" it'll boot but be stuck in the corner of my screen. otherwise all three of these games immediately crash on startup.

OS: Windows 10 21H1
CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 5900x stock clockspeed
RAM: 32GB 16X2 3200 stock speeds
GPU: Nvidia 1080 Ti Founders edition stock clockspeeds
GPU Driver: Nvidia Game Ready Driver 512.15
dgVoodoo 2 Version : 2.78.1

Could you plz attach a log from the spec-release version, to see if there is sg interesting in that?

I can't comment on Scooby Doo and Spongebob Battle but I have Employee of the Month and it works with 2.78.1.

scooby doo, battle for bikini bottom and employee of the month all run on the same engine or at least versions of the same engine so i assume helping me with employee will fix the other 2 by proxy. log attatched

I just tried Scooby Doo and that's also working for me. The debug log is practically the same for me as yours (but doesn't crash at that point).

Do you launch them in Win95 mode + dgVoodoo? (win95 not needed)
Also, can you attach your dgv config file here, to see if there is anything special set in that?

Oh, and I don't know if there is any difference between the original and the steam versions of the games. I tried the original ones.

I thought of steam because of the line

0.000000	2022/04/04 18:21:51.576	360	sb2.exe	[dgVoodoo] INFO: Reading config from file E:\Steam\steamapps\common\Spongebob Employee of the Month\dgVoodoo.conf.

The config is read from there as well, that's why I thought you created a non-default one for the game.
Anyway, it's really strange. I have no idea. Maybe, could you zip all your game folder and share with me somehow?

it says its installed to steam because i like having all my pc games in one directory and 90% are installed to the steam directory by default because of steam. anyway is there an email i contact you with because vogons says the attachment size limit is 5 megabytes and a zipped copy of my install is just under 300.

so going from windows 10 to 11 and updating dgvoodoo to 2.78.2 has gone from crashing without fail to maybe having a 1 in 5 chance of working. it may be placebo but i'm not sure. for all i know more recent versions of windows 10 and 11 have worse compatibility with these games than earlier versions of windows 10 and prior
