Hi everyone,

I have a question regarding a Dell 466/ME Coast Module. Basicall my question is it how to get one - or even how to look for one. The build form factor looks very strange (seems to be a combination of ISA / EISA sized pins ?) I attach an image of the slot below. I think there is one PC listed for sale right now on ebay ("Dell 466 / Me DX2/66 Intel 486 66 2x Isa 4x Eisa Slot Computer") which may contain the module Im looking for. However, ther is no description and the price is just unbelivable). I think the cache module came also up in an older post here (very similar computer - but probably no EISA slots):
I got a Dell 486 - my ultimate 486 build log! but there is no further description or model number listed. I also found a schematic drawing of a similar mainboard (also attached- its not exactly the same ) but again - no specifc information reg. the cache module.

So my question is - how and where to look for it? Does anybody has some experience with such a module ? Do these models have special numbers or brand names or are they unique and perhaps only specifically made for a few DELL machines of that time? I assume I will need a lot of patience (which is ok) but Im not even sure whats the best strategy to search. Glad for any suggestions.

Thanks a lot

According to this link for the 466/M, the part number for the ME is 33606 (also seems to carry the IBM part number 22H3041)- https://web.archive.org/web/19961222093506/ht … ts.htm#SPL00007

You'll find more info on the 466/ME here - https://web.archive.org/web/19961222130859/ht … 6me/default.htm
