Hey there,
Can someone tell me, if there are mouse models on the market (in 2022) which are compatible with Windows 98 and Windows XP?
I tried the new MX518 remastered from Logitech and the G502 from Logitech but they won't work out of the box. I think it might have something to do with the USB port voltage or USB1.0 standard.

Perhaps someone knows a mouse which works? I don't want to buy old used mouses on eBay.

Microsoft Basic Optical Mouse. It's cheaply built and at the lowest end of MS mice franchise, but it has the highest compatibility: every box comes with an USB-PS/2 converter, allowing the mouse to function under any PC with a PS/2 port with drivers as old as MOUSE.COM version 8.20 under MS-DOS 6.
