Excuse me if this is only tangentally related, but this is the best section I could find.
Today, I pulled out the ULA from one of the TS-1000s I have. It is dead.
I was going to add it to the box of various done-for capacitors, buffer underrun CDs, useless circuit boards, spicy pillows, and other toasty chips from my various devices.
But it occurred to me I can't keep this up forever, and there ought to be something for me to do with these. I've tried googling, but most store centers expect you to bring in, say, a dead phone. Not a dead capacitor.
I live in a US state that is... less focused on recycling (Oklahoma). What are my options for recycling or safe disposal? Do I just have to wait until I live in a better part of the world? Can I do science on these?
