Just looking to get some advice on where to start looking. I got a Tandy recently with a monochrome composite display. I've been using them all week with no real issues, I noticed some slight brightness inconsistency but nothing major, figured it was just the CRT being 35 years old. Today while using it the CRT completely lost sync. I turned the computer off and back on and it will hold sync for about 2 seconds, then the brightness will drop and loose sync completely. The monitor is fine, tested with a game console and it has no issues. If I plug the Tandy into a consumer CRT TV it holds sync better, but there is a little articulating and will drop sync a tiny bit here and there for split second. So I know the computer is the issue. I don't have an RGBI monitor at the moment to test that, but I will next week. In the mean time where should I start looking? Could this be an old cap issue? There weren't any pops or smoke and no obvious blown caps.
