Hi,

I have a 486 QDI motherboard (QDI V4S471) but it doesn't work.

The computer doesn't boot, no activity. I have put a postcard and it say Cb CA. (Cb=>Initialization before keyboard batch
- CA=>Initialize CMOS date and time)
What does it mean ?

Thanks

Have you maybe tried to flash another bios for it? (If you have that possibility)
Also, if keyboard related stuff may be a problem, maybe you could replace the keyboard controller to see, if it changes anything.

I have tried with an another bios with no change.
I have tried with an other cpu and I have a little change. The post card display 26 25 with no beeps.
When I boot with no ram and no vga card I have 3 long beeps because no RAM is plugged. When I plug RAM I have no beeps (and the postcard dispay 25 26) strange normaly when there is no vga card the computer should be beeps.
When I plug VGA card or not I have no change. I also tried with differnet card with no effect.

Does it have any physical damage, for example from a leaking battery?

Yes but it's repaired.

These damages can be very tricky. There could still be a disconnected trace under the power-connector, under a jumper (JZ) or even under a RAM socket.
Some vias look quite corroded, too.

You´re not through with the restoration yet, I´m afraid.

Yes but it's repaired.

Well if the repair wasn't done by you to be absolutely certain that every trace around the area is fine (even what's not visible now), that should be your starting point.
It doesn't look like it was repaired in the best way to be honest, there is still untreated corrosion or that missing joint above TC12...
