Got myself an other Compaq laptop.. I now have 4.

I have a Compaq armada 1750 a 1520 and a 100s. I also have a Compaq Evo.

The first two are very serviceable, they only use one ore maybe two different kinds of screws, (yes it is torx), and it is easy to pull it apparat and put together in 10-15 minutes.

The 100s is a whole different matter. I think there were 5-6 different types of screws in this thing, none of which is even the standard Compaq torx. I pulled it apart for some service but I have yet to been able to even put it together correctly because of its bad design.(I'm sure I will eventually.)

These 100s machines were probably a cheaper alternative to the other armada series, so I
wonder if it was produced by some subcontractor with lesser quality requirements. It does not feel like a Compaq, more like a Dell.

It is kind of cool it has a (very nice and shiny) AMD k6-2+ processor but alas the sound card seems not to be DOS compatible. Maybe it would be ok with an external sound card but I'll probably not find one soon.
