Even after baking it in the oven, it still produces the exact same artifact (a bunch of colored characters), I'm a technician, and I'm going to fix it anyway, but before I start I like to hear tips, because sometimes I end up learning Something new.

My opinion is that one of the memory modules is defective, I remember there was an ms-dos program that tested each bank, and reported which bank was defective, but I don't remember the name...

Has anyone here had this?

Colored characters usually indicate broken memory. Supposed GPU chip plague also known as "Nvidia bumpgate" started with 90nm process (G71, etc).

I must be some kind of standard: the anonymous gangbanger of the 21st century.
