While I managed to install Windows 98 se, I got an error. Are there ways to fix them?
I faced the same problem a couple of years ago. When you get that error, you have to reboot in safe mode, and from System settings on Control Panel, Performance, File System, Troubleshooting, Disable 32 bits protected mode disk drivers (I'm not sure if these names are correct, my installation is in spanish, but it should be something like that). This way you can complete the installation process and use Windows, but you can't re-enable 32 bits disk drivers, or you will get the same problem again.
The downside of this method is that you loose CD-ROM access. If you need it, you have to install a real mode CD-ROM driver (like oakcdrom.sys) and MSCDEX from you config.sys/autoexex.bat.
