RoadRash (1996 Windows) includes AWE32 support, has custom SBK soundfonts and SBK MIDIs, and aweman32.dll file.

I, however, have no luck getting my AWE32 to use those files. I know for sure because the game ignores when I remove the SBK MIDI files, it plays the regular ones, and only complains when the regular ones are missing.

Is there like a command line switch that enables the AWE32 support? No difference between running rashme.exe and roadrash.exe

Anyone know?

Hi, I know I'm late in replying, but I managed to get it working on 86Box (I don't have the real hardware).
Emulated hardware:
Pentium MMX 200 MHz
S3 Virge/DX
64 MB RAM
Windows 95 OSR2.5
AWE32

1. Install DirectX 5: https://www.philscomputerlab.com/directx.html
2. Install the AWE32 software from the CD: https://winworldpc.com/product/sound-blaster- … d-blaster-awe32
3. From this site http://files.mpoli.fi/hardware/SOUND/CLABS/, download the updated drivers for Windows 95 (SBW95UP.EXE file) and install them.
4. From the same site, download the AWE Control Panel v2.05 (AWECP95.EXE file) and perform the manual installation. If Control Panel gives an error on startup, rename or remove the AWEMAN32.DLL file in C:\Windows\System.
5. Install Road Rash. Do not install DirectX 3 during the game installation.

The game should now load and use the instruments for AWE32 (you'll immediately notice this by the different drum sounds).
