Just in case someone randomly sees this:

A while ago I came across VDMSound in order to play syndicate Wars, and it worked famously. Fast Forward a bit, a change of computers, an extra install later, and I've got nothing. I've gone through and installed the fix for swars, I've changed all the options and whatnot, the closest I can get is where it tells me that VDDLoader.dll is already loaded and I have to unload it first. I remember having this problem occasionally before but I can't remember how I fixed it. I read somewhere else on the internet that clicking the .bat instead of using 'Run with VDMS' would fix it because using VDMS on the .bat was simply loading it twice. I do that, and it hands me the usual can't run dos in windows crap. I'm at my wits-end. I've been trying for hours to get it working. DosBOX runs too damn slow and I want to be able to return to the golden days of no problems, but that doesn't seem likely. 2.1 .0 VDMS had nearly no success rate, i had to resort to 2.0.4 to get even this far. what am I doing wrong?
