I was putting a socket on a motherboard for a RTC and when I was going over the manual for the jumper settings there was one about setting the SRAM type for 3.3 volts or 5 volts, the manual says

set according to SRAM used 3.3 v is 3.3 volt in and out, mixed mode is 5v in and 3.3 v out

Ive got two sticks of 8mb EDO 70 ns 72 pin but other than looking at them I cant tell what voltage they are like all my other sticks in my horded box, the motherboard is an ASUS PCI/I-P54SP4 rev 1.4. I looked up "LGS GM7IC4403CJ70" but google didnt come up with much except ebay and the guy there selling his says they are 5V but if I want to look up another set of sticks how do I search if they are 3.3v or 5v?

This SRAM voltage refers to Cache stick. Typically L2 cache contains Tag SRAM (small chip) and actual cache (usually 2 big square chips with legs on 4 sides). Those bigger chips are usually 3.3V and Tag could be 3.3V or 5V.

EDO's SIMMs are typically 5V. There are however 3.3V EDO DIMMs

GM71C4403C is 5V (one, not uppercase i),

1) VLSI SCAMP /286@20 /4M /CL-GD5422 /CMI8330
2) i420EX /486DX33 /16M /TGUI9440 /GUS+ALS100+MT32PI
3) i430FX /K6-2@400 /64M /Rage Pro PCI /ES1370+YMF718
4) i440BX /P!!!750 /256M /MX440 /SBLive!
5) iB75 /3470s /4G /HD7750 /HDA

This is where not typing "LGS" will work and "LGS GM7IC4403CJ70" wont unless you want to buy a stick from ebay, from now on I'll type more and less for better results but thank you guys
