Give's me FF code ,(on 2nr- lcd digital read-out) from f****...

now what....

No beeps. fan is on. Should I change more capacitors? (I checked all of them with Ohm meter , they sat steadily in middle-with-the-niddle on the reader).

My EPOX boards display FF last after completing POST and trying to boot.🤔
What other hardware is in the system?
What troubleshooting steps have you already taken?

it's first boot-post-try after 20 years of side sit of the board ,after recap, mounted a 8500 , reset bios , tryed with no 3v bat in and and reset bios. tryed ram and no ram same ff , no post no image no beep (for no ram). I have a Duron in , I could try tomorrow diffrent cpu , but may be something on the board.

Maybe something on the board but it could also be a corrupt BIOS. Can you flash the EEPROM with the latest BIOS version?

It was the l8test but I may be able from a cd or floppy , I will try tomorrow , there was a key combination to start the flash process . ( I don't have external bios writer).

you cant check capacitors with ohm meter, you need dedicated ESR meter (measures with AC at 100Hz).
I would start by checking voltages, cpu, ram, 5V.

I'd more agree with Doornkaat. I had a MSI K7N2 Delta-ILSR that played dead until I randomly swapped in a Jetway N2PAP-Lite BIOS chip. Also didn't beep for missing RAM w/ original corrupt BIOS - only with the Jetway's BIOS I started getting beeps from it.

If you're familiar with the hotflashing method, then it's just a matter of getting a board prepped for hotflash and a bootable DOS flashdrive or HDD, whichever works with your hotflashing mainboard.
