This is a long known problem, but I never found a solution to it,

When the game is run, after a few races, the game crashes with a heap error. There is an MM2HeapPatcher application out there, that patched my game. However even after patching the game, the game continues to crash.

The easiest way to crash is to start a race, quit and change the video renderer and enter a race (sometimes it has to be done more than once) and the game crashes. Does anybody have a solution?
