Hey folks,
Finally been getting my Toshiba T3200SX up and running again with great success - Up to 11MB of RAM with some modded RAM, XTIDE Universal Bios letting me get a bigger HD going, etc etc. At some point though I started getting a lot of random snow on the original plasma screen. This looks very "digital" so I don't think it's a damaged screen, but I suppose it could be. I found a reference ( http://www.steptail.com/toshiba_t-series_supp … toshiba_t3200sx ) to a faulty lid sensor switch maybe causing a noisy image which I've removed the plunger from, but still exhibits it. I've disassembled the thing and reseated and cleaned everything I can find, to no avail.
It's not particularly noticeable in most GUI modes (been enjoying Windows NT 3.51 at the moment. Underrated OS) but kind of a shame for DOS modes. Would love to find a fix.
Edit:Forgot the pics in the attachments. Note that it's very dynamic and random, not actually sitting still..
